FROM A MOTHER TO HER DAUGHTER

1) Be contented with whatever you receive. This will give you peace

2) Be obedient to your husband and pay heed to whatever he says. This will bring you the Mercy of Allαh

3) He must not see in you untidiness or carelessness. Water has the best fragrance in the absence of perfume. Surmah adds the
most beauty

4) Be prepared for him at meal times. The heat of hunger is inflammable

5) Be quiet when he is asleep. The disturbance of sleep infuriates

6) Safeguard his assets. He will trust you

7) Do not disclose any of his secrets. If you do so he will not spare you when he retaliates

8) Dare not to be joyous when he is worried. This will be wrong on your part and dare not to display sadness when he is happy for this
will breed hatred

9) You will attain all this only if you give preference to his likes over yours and his desires above yours in all things you like and dislike

10) Be mindful of your duties to Allαh at all times

11) Give priority to the orders of Allαh above all things. This will secure your Jannah

12) Do not obey him if his orders be contrary to the demands of Allαh
