Sahaabah - Allâh's Messenger (sallAllâhu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: "The best of people are my Companions." (Al-Bukhârî and others have reported this hadîth)
- Sahaabiyaat -
"And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajiroon (the Emigrants from
Makkah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madeenah who helped the
Muhajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah
is well-pleased with them as they are well pleased with Him. He has
prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein
forever. That is the supreme success." [9:100]
- Men Scholars - Abud-Dardaa (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) reported: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah
(sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) say: ‘Whoever treads a path due to
which he seeks knowledge, Allaah will make him tread one of the paths
towards Paradise. And the angels lower their wings out of contentment
for the seeker of knowledge. And verily all those in the heavens and in
the earth, even the fish in the depths of the sea ask forgiveness for
the scholar. And verily, the virtue of the scholar over the worshipper
is like the virtue of the moon on the night of Al-Badr over all of the
stars. Indeed, the scholars are the inheritors of the prophets, for the
prophets do not leave behind a dinar or a dirham for inheritance, but
rather, they leave behind knowledge. So whoever takes hold of it, has
acquired a large share (i.e. of inheritance).’” (Reported by Abu Dawood,
At-Tirmidhee and Ibn Hibbaan, and this is the wording found in his collection, in abridged form. Al-Bukhaaree mentioned in his Saheeh
Collection in his Book of Knowledge, Chapter: Knowledge precedes Speech
and Action, the part from it: “The scholars are the inheritors of the
Prophets.”)
- Women Scholars -
The Prophet Muhammad (may the praise and peace of Allaah be upon
him)said: “ …and certainly the scholars are the inheritors of the
Prophets and the Prophets did not leave wealth as an inheritance, they
only left behind knowledge, so whoever takes from it, has taken an
abundant portion…” (Reported by Abu Dawood, At-Tirmidhee and Ibn
Hibbaan, and this is the wording found in his collection, in abridged
form. Al-Bukhaaree mentioned this hadeeth
in his Saheeh Collection in his Book of Knowledge, Chapter: Knowledge
precedes Speech and Action, the part from it: “The scholars are the
inheritors of the Prophets.”)
- Pious Men (and Allah knows best)
- {But those who receive guidance, He increases the light of guidance
and bestows on them their piety and restraint from evil} (47:17)
- Pious Women (and Allah knows best)
- {Nay, those who keep their promise and practice righteousness, verily
God loves those who are pious (practice righteousness)} (3:76)
- Reverts Men -
A man called Amr came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and
said, “Give me your right hand so that I may give you my pledge of
loyalty.” The Prophet (peace be upon hi) stretched out his right hand.
Amr withdrew his hand. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "What has
happened to you, O Amr?" He replied, "I intend to lay down a condition.”
The Prophet asked: "What condition do you intend to put forward?"
Amr said, “That God forgive my sins.” The Prophet said: "Didn’t you
know that converting to Islam erases all previous sins?" (Narrated in
Saheeh Muslim, #121, and Mosnad Ahmad, #17357)
- Reverts Women
- {Nay! Whosoever submits his whole self to Allah and is a doer of
good, he will get his reward with his Lord, on such shall have no fear,
nor shall they grieve.} [2:112]
